A journey to the first ever Formal Consecration of Pontifex University to Our Blessed Mother begins; in collaboration with the Pontifex University School of Theology and in partnership with The Gethsemane Institute. You are invited to join us on this journey, praying St. Louis de Montfort’s Traditional 33-day Preparation for Total Consecration to Our Lady.
Our 33-day Preparation will culminate with a Formal Consecration on Pontifex’s Feast Day: The Feast of Jesus Christ the Eternal High Priest, on Thursday, May 28th, 2026, (this year it’s also the Feast of the Relics of Mary) in which the administration will prayerfully give Pontifex University into Our Lady’s hands, entrusting everything we are as a university beneath Mary’s mantle of protection.

Consecration Resources
Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort: “Total Consecration to Jesus Through Mary”
This is the main resource for this Consecration, which consists of an initial 12-day preparation, followed by a period of three consecutive weeks, each week focusing on a different theme. The consecration itself begins on April 26, the Feast of Our Lady of Good Counsel, and will be completed on May 28, the Feast of Jesus Christ the Eternal High Priest, and also the Feast of Our Lady’s Relics. Thus, the preparation for Consecration takes place over the 33 days.
First comes a 12-day preparation period that consists of emptying oneself of the spirit of the world in penance and mortification. For those 12 days, we pray the Veni Creator, the Ave Maris Stella, the Magnificat, and the Glory Be. Then follow 3 weeks, each week having a specific focus.
The first week focuses on offering up our prayers and devotions for the purpose of coming to understand ourselves and our sins; humility is the key, and the prayers the Litany of the Holy Ghost, the Litany of Loreto, and the Ave Maris Stella help us.
During the second week, we ask the Holy Ghost to help us better understand the Blessed Virgin; we pray the Litany of the Holy Ghost, the Litany of Loreto, the Ave Maris Stellis, the prayer to Mary by St. Louis-Marie, and 5 decades of the Holy Rosary each day for assistance.
During the third week, we seek to better understand Christ through meditation and the Litany of the Holy Ghost, the Ave Maris Stella, and the Litany of the Holy Name of Jesus, Montfort’s prayer to Jesus, and the prayer O Jesus Living in Mary.
Some of the Days of Prayer include recommendations to read from the Imitation of Christ and True Devotion to Mary, both of which can be found below. You can either view them here, or download to your device to read to it offline.
