The Gethsemane Institute is a charitable organization formed to create and distribute quality Catholic content to assist in the Catholic spiritual journey, and to encourage and increase awareness and participation in and help for the at-home Holy Hour devotion to Jesus in Gethsemane, and other Eucharistic and Catholic initiatives.
We were founded in 2025, on the 350th Jubilee Anniversary of the Sacred Heart apparitions to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, in which Jesus requested that she promulgate a Holy Hour from 11PM – 12AM on Thursday to console Him in His sufferings in the Garden of Gethsemane.
One of our main initiatives is offering free Guided Holy Hours, available through our virtual prayer garden: Catholic Holy Hour, which has over 5000 active members worldwide – and growing – keeping Christ company just as he asked.

The Bethany Plan
This plan provides those who are suffering from loneliness, isolation, grief, and loss with a way forward to bring their pain into purpose through Beauty, Balance and Belonging… so they can more fruitfully Become!
